Who is the host organisation in an Erasmus+ internship?
In an Erasmus+ VET internship, the host organisation is the company where the student does the placement. A supporting organisation such as BragaMob proposes companies and organises the logistics, the preparation and the local monitoring; the sending school decides, and keeps the application, the reports and the grant.
Direct answer: in an Erasmus+ VET internship, the host organisation is the company where the student does the placement. BragaMob, in Braga, Portugal, is a supporting organisation: we propose host companies in each student's field and take care of the logistics, the preparation and orientation, the local monitoring and the 24-hour line. The decision is your school's.
Three roles
| Role | Who | What they do |
|---|---|---|
| Sending organisation | Your school | Writes the application and the reports, manages the grant, selects the participants and decides on companies, participants and learning outcomes. |
| Host organisation | The host company | Welcomes the student, signs the Learning Agreement, assigns a company tutor who guides the daily work, and assesses the participant on the last day. |
| Supporting organisation | BragaMob | Proposes host companies, arranges accommodation, meals and transport, runs the preparation and orientation, follows the placement locally and answers the 24-hour line. |

When is BragaMob the host organisation?
When the activity takes place with us and our team guides it: our training courses, internships in our own team, job shadowing with our staff and professional visits we host in Braga. When a participant works in another company or organisation, that organisation is the host and BragaMob is the supporting organisation. The Learning Agreement names the organisation where the activity takes place.
