Who it is for
We arrange internships for individual students or graduates and for organised groups of students. Placements run all year round, from a minimum of 10 days up to 1 year. The working language is English; participants pick up basic Portuguese during the stay.
Where participants work
Trainees are placed in small and medium-sized companies, NGOs, schools, business hubs and commercial or industrial organisations of all sizes. We work with more than 800 partners in the Braga region, so we can propose, for each participant, a host company in their field and level; your school confirms it.

Who looks after each participant
Every participant has two people looking after them. At the host company, a company tutor guides the daily work. At BragaMob, a mobility coordinator stays in contact with the participant, the tutor and the sending school from arrival to departure. If something needs adjusting, the tutor tells us and we act. During the mobility, groups also have a 24-hour emergency line, whose number every group receives on arrival.

Company tutor
Guides the daily work and assesses the participant at the end.

From 10 days to 1 year, all year round. Groups usually stay 2 to 5 weeks; individual placements up to about 10 weeks.
Both. We arrange placements for individual students or graduates and for organised groups.
Every group receives a 24-hour emergency line on arrival, answered by the BragaMob team in Braga.
Yes, as long as the group travels with a responsible teacher from the sending school.
No. Under Article 5 of the Erasmus+ grant agreement for VET traineeships, every participant must have adequate insurance before the mobility starts, arranged by the sending organisation or the participant: health insurance (the European Health Insurance Card covers basic care in Portugal; a complementary policy is recommended), liability insurance for damage the participant may cause at the workplace, and accident insurance for injuries at the workplace. The Learning Agreement records how each cover has been organised. Tell us which policies your school uses and we will check that the host company's requirements are met.
The tutor speaks with the participant and with us first. If the placement still does not match what was agreed, we arrange a different one.
6 hours a day, Monday to Friday (30 hours a week). The exact timetable is agreed with each company, with a lunch break.
No. Internships are part of the participant's training and are not paid.
Send us the fields, number of participants and dates. We reply with a programme and a quote, then prepare the agreements with your school.
Most groups come from Hungary, Türkiye, Bulgaria, Croatia and Czechia; in total, 27 countries since 2013. See the full list.
The busiest months are March to May and October; August is the quietest, so late requests have more chance then.
On the last day the company tutor runs a theoretical and practical assessment, which is recorded. The participant receives the Europass Mobility and a Certificate of Attendance, and your school decides how the results are recognised.
