Партньорство за насърчаване и подкрепа на младежкото социално предприемачествоPartnership for promoting and supporting youth social entrepreneurship (translation)

Youth social entrepreneurship

About the project

Background

The idea for the project came from the observed trend of a sharply growing vulnerability of young people in Europe, which intensified with the onset of the COVID-19 crisis. According to EUROSTAT, Bulgaria ranks second in the EU for the share of people at risk of poverty and social exclusion (33.6%), Greece is third on this indicator with 27.5%, and Portugal is thirteenth with 20.0%. Young people, especially those from remote areas or with fewer opportunities, are among the groups most at risk. The crisis strengthened this trend: many people, including young people, lost their jobs, and the lack of further vocational qualifications or entrepreneurial skills kept them from retraining and quickly finding a new job.

One possible answer was the development of social entrepreneurship and the search for social innovation. It is therefore increasingly important for active young people, including those from remote areas or from vulnerable groups, in countries with a fragile socio-economic structure such as Bulgaria, Greece, Serbia and Portugal, to acquire the knowledge and skills to develop business ideas.

Objectives

To study and analyze the current state of skills, emphasize the opportunities for realization of social innovations and social business ideas.

To create knowledge and skills for developing new entrepreneurial models, based on social innovations, the principles of sustainable development, in 60 youths.

To support the digitization of the learning process of young people from vulnerable groups.

To unite 12 trainers and consultants to support and encourage young people in social entrepreneurship
