Introduction to Arduino
A five-day, hands-on introduction to Arduino for teachers and students: basic electronics, prototyping on a breadboard and programming the Arduino microcontroller. Each day builds on the last, from reading schematics to sensors, outputs and stand-alone projects.
- 5 days
- Certificate of attendance
- EN
Who it is for
- Students
- Teachers of primary, secondary and vocational schools
- Adult education teachers
- Teachers of special educational needs
- Teacher trainers, careers officers, educational guides and counsellors
- Headteachers, principals and managers of schools and of organisations offering adult or vocational education
What you will learn
- Learn the basics of electronics, including reading schematics
- Prototype circuits on a breadboard and connect them to the Arduino
- Learn the Arduino programming language and IDE
- Program the microcontroller so the circuits work
- Use a serial terminal to understand communication and stand-alone use
- Explore example code and online resources to go further
By the end of the course, you will be able to
- Read a schematic and build a circuit on a breadboard
- Program the Arduino to read sensors and drive outputs
- Build a stand-alone project with the Arduino
- Plan Arduino activities for their own classes
