A five-day course on creating a multicultural environment in schools and helping international students integrate. It covers cultural patterns and stereotypes, the emotional side of integration, inclusive pedagogy and cooperation with the local community, with a study visit to a Portuguese school recognised for good practice and an introduction to coaching.

- Introductory meeting: practical arrangements, timetable and venue
- Icebreakers and introduction to the course
- Sharing experiences and good practices in integrating international students
- The "cultural backpack": becoming aware of cultural patterns
- Experiential workshop: understanding the perspective of others in communication
Day 2Supporting international students
- The emotional and psychological distress of integrating into a new environment
- Responding to the needs of international students and supporting their families
- Presentation of a programme for the successful integration of international students
Day 3Good practice and inclusive pedagogy
- Half-day study visit to a Portuguese school known for encouraging multiculturalism and integration
- Guidelines for the integration of international students
- Inclusive pedagogy: the concept, how it works, obstacles and benefits
- Tools and exercises to include international students in class and school activities
- Cooperation with the local community (NGOs, institutions, associations) to strengthen children's talents

- Empowering international students to take part in school and local life
- A supportive, multicultural school environment
- Key learning points and feedback through a creativity technique
- Planning follow-up, dissemination and use of the learning outcomes
Day 5Coaching in education
- Introduction to coaching in education
